What is your 2019 resolution? The new year always starts with new hopes both in terms of career, finance, marriage, and health. For matters of improving health, you can start from simple things like walking more often or drinking a glass of water more.

Here are some habits that you can make new year's resolutions:

1. More use of stairs

If you are active in a place that has stairs, whether at home or office, take advantage of it at every opportunity. Avoid using an escalator or elevator if you have time.

Walking up and down stairs is useful as a cardio exercise. You can do it repeatedly for more intense exercises. Start slowly, then increase when you feel stronger.

2. Drink an extra glass of water

Many health benefits are obtained when you drink more water. Adequate fluid requirements will help maintain normal body temperature, lubricate and coat joint pads, protect the spinal cord and other sensitive tissues, and remove impurities through urination, sweat, and bowel movements.

You can also add a little flavor to the water to add variety, for example by making it infused with fruit. Do not mix too much sugar because this can actually lead to a negative effect on your body.

3. 10 minute walk

No need for long, 10 minutes walk can also be profitable. If you are an office worker, walk to the lunch spot. Or if you need to buy household necessities, walk to the store instead of riding a car.

Taking a walk in your daily activities for at least 10 minutes can train your leg muscles, keep your body fit, and increase metabolism.

4. Improve body posture

Having a good posture can prevent pain and reduce stress on your muscles and bones. You can make a note on your desk as a reminder to adjust your posture (sitting up straight), until it becomes a habit without realizing it.

5. Weight regularly

To keep your weight from increasing significantly, set a weekly exercise and set goals for yourself. In this way, you will get the sensation of achieving sports and trying to maintain your weight.
